Publication Process

The publication process can be an intimidating one, and it’s no wonder.  Getting published can take years of hard work, but if you are a talented writer, you’re sure to get published if you keep at it.  The publication process begins when you send your portfolio or writing sample to a publication.  Don’t send your portfolio to just one organization- send it to dozens to increase your chances of getting published.  Don’t give up after receiving rejection notifications.  The publication process continues when you get accepted by a magazine other publication.  Publications will often make revisions to your work- don’t be discouraged, as this is a normal part of the process.  Before you know it, you will be a published writer!
